NARS Packaging and price point

NARS packaging is all black with the white NARS logo, very simple, clean, chic and contemporary and the material the casing is made out of has a soft touch rather than a sleek, hard, shiny, plastic finish which I really like about it. The packaging and logo is designed by Fabien Baron who designed the packaging so that it matched the product inside - beautiful and functional while taking into consideration Francois Nars love for quality, simplicity and a chic aesthetic. The NARS logo and packaging is iconic in the makeup world. The NARS logo is also very modern, made up out of slim straight lines in the font Helvetica Neue Ultra Light STD but the letters are placed slightly overlapping each other so that it looks like a completely new font and is so original to NARS but like with the packaging is not over the top, distracting from the products or dated.

The price point of NARS varies, as a luxury, high quality and iconic brand it is more expencive than what you would find in Superdrug from a high street brand but with customers so loyal and the products being so popular the prices don't put people off splashing out on their makeup bag as with NARS products people get the professional finish and feel from home or on the go. The prices start from around £16.50 on some eyeliners, lip liners and brow pencils and goes up to £60 at the highest for a Restorative Night Treatment. In their pro range the customer has the opporunity to purchase pre made palettes chosen by NARS top makeup artists or can customise their own by selecting what colours, finishes and products they want to fill their own palette with but these do come at a higher price ranging between £165-£253. The average price point for something from NARS would be somewhere around £30.
