Close up images of makeup for editorial 1 shoot

I thought I would include some images I took while shooting of the makeup close up as my final image only shows the look from one side.

I am so please with how this image came out. Its really different from all my other images which I wanted, I really enjoyed designing the makeup and the shoot went really smoothly. Usually the shooting I find most stressful but this time it was really enjoyable and I found the lighting set up much easier with a colourful background. I went for the close up side on image as because the shoot is inspired by a makeup collection I thought the makeup should be a very key focus of the image which is why I chose this image. My model also has a really lovely side profile which I wanted to show off. I think the pink background compliments the styling, makeup and hair and makes it so eye catching. I think this shoot combines aspects from NARS and Christopher Kane which I am pleased about.

Editorial 1 - 2 Favourite images edited

These are my two favourite images, only one is to be my editorial shot. I decided to edit them first so that I could visualise what they would actually look like to make the process of elimination easier:

I decided to go with the last one as I preferred the way my design was shown off close up but am pleased I have the first image for my portfolio anyway. In the second image I moved the NARS logo to the top of the page as if I placed it in the same location as the first image the logo got lost in the models braids a bit.

Editorial 1 - Favourite images from shoot

I really love these images, my favourite at the moment are the second and last image. I love the second because I love the post my model is in and I think this is really editorial, Christopher Kane and the makeup is clearly inspired by the NARS X Christopher Kane makeup collection with the edgy braids to make it fun and youthful. I can really imagine the last image most of all in a editorial spread for Wonderland magazine but as I love the second image as well I am going to edit them both and see which one I like best.
